The other phones like Galaxy Note series, Sony Xperia Z series, Microsoft Lumia & others came with a huge screen at least 5.3 inches with Galaxy Note in 2011, then Galaxy Note 2 with 5.5 inches in 2012, then Galaxy Note 3 with 5.7 inches in 2013 & same thing in Microsoft Lumia like Lumia 1520, Lumia 950XL & Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. Apple decided to enter the competition against a huge phones with a huge screens by releasing iphone 6 plus & iphone 6S plus. The competition between huge phones have a display between 5.3 inches - 6 inches. More than 6 inches is considering a tablet not a smartphone like Samsung Galaxy Mega, It has 6.5 inches display. Actually it was extremely huge mobile. the iphone 6 plus & iphone 6S plus won with excellent degree in mobiles markets all around the world with the highest selling and buying by consumers. From my point of view Galaxy Note series or Galaxy S6 edge plus won with excellent degree too in mobiles markets all around the world & other phones too. But iphone 6 plus & 6S plus surprised consumers with unexpected iphone with a huge screen 5.5 inches & same powerful specifications like iphone 6 & 6S or any previous iphone models.
